Honey Culture in the Philippines

Raising honeybee in the Philippines is quite a rewarding hobby. It can even be a source of income for the beekeeper.

Despite the common notions that commercial honeybees can only thrive in temperate countries like the United States, the same Italian honeybees can be successfully raise in the Philippines. The only thing that will ensure success is the understanding of the 'secret life of bees' and how they would relate to the tropical weather of the Philippines.

This is our demo honey bee farm were our Bees Honey' -- the all Natural Honey from Island of Leyte are made by the bees.

Hi, this is john botter from Antipolo City. I am very much interested in developing a beehive farm here in my residence. I would need some information and advise how to start and proceed with it. Please email me at johnbotter@hotmail.com. Please identify yourself as beekeeper philippines so I will open it.

John Botter. My blog is actually the step-by-step process in starting beekeping the right-way in the Philippines. I wish there is a shortcut, but if there is, I wouldn't want you to commit the same mistakes we did. So I hope you bear with us. A good start is to research on the internet beekeping topic and compare that to what we have on thjis site. Beekeeping is techno-intensive, hence the reason why we launch this blog to help those who are starting up... pls bear with us...

This is Philip.I first aquired my 6hives only towards the end of february2009. The initial 4 frames have now reached 10 frames. As the colonies are increasing at a decent speed, i would like to meet and exchange ideas to learn from veteran beekeepers. Is there a directory of Filipino beekeepers which could provide us with the contact nos.and addresses of beekeepers near our area or homes? thank you and Godbless!

Hi. Having read there are so many fake honey around, I would to know if you sell honey in Manila? If so, what brand name are you carrying? And where can I easily find them to purchase? thanks.

We can send you a bottle or two through special order if you are willing to shoulder the courier cost. We have no outlet yet in Manila since our available supply is not enough to cover the demand in our area. No brand name yet, but honey is assured to be pure. Please place order at our online store store. Thank you for the interest.
